I use Strawberry Perl version 5.16.3 from http://strawberryperl.com/
User 32bit Version also for x64 Windows.

Run InstPackage.pl in folder "perl" to download and build required Perl modules. COM1 must exist, otherwise build of "Win32::SerialPort" will fail.

For the map composer you need ImageMagick-6.8.8-8-Q16-x86-dll.exe , e.g. from here http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/multimedia/graphics/ImageMagick/binaries/
or here http://mirror.checkdomain.de/imagemagick/

Configuration of COM port for datalink in mkcockpit.xml doesn't work.
You need to define you COM port in mkcomm.pl. Search and replace "$MkComPort = "COM5"
